Cyril FELLOUS has joined CEA LETI in 2024 as head of Optics and Photonics Division. He holds a PhD and Engineering degree in Physics and material science.
Industry, business and technology enthusiast. he has developed a 25 years experience in high tech sector, enjoying many positions from process and Device engineer, R&D manager, quality manager, product and program manager and Business unit Director.
Cyril has worked in various semiconductor companies like STMicroelectronics, Teledyne e2v, SOITEC.
Cyril’s ambition is to develop long term partnerships, creating business opportunities and being customer focused.
Within CEA LETI he has the chance to lead a team of highly skilled experts and professionals providing breakthrough technologies and solutions to partners.
Together we bring high differentiation in the image sensors, optical sensors, Silicon photonics, optical packaging and displays for sensing, imaging, IA, data communication, computing, AR/VR, health and we help our customers to transform these R&D technologies into industrial solutions.

Samuel Sheng, Ph.D. is currently Director of Sensing Technologies at Google, and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. A recognized expert in systems development and digital signal processing, Dr. Sheng has extensive experience in architecting and designing leading-edge CMOS ASICs for ultrasonic sensors, silicon tuners, DSL transceivers, and mobile/low-power applications.
Prior to Google, he was the co-founder and CTO of Sentons Inc., focusing on next-generation ultrasonics as a sensor medium for touch- and force-sensing applications. Sentons' technology has been found in numerous flagship smartphones, using its unique ultrasound sensing capabilities to enhance usability and user experience. He was also co-founder and CTO at Telegent Systems, which was acquired by Spreadtrum Communications in 2011. Telegent Systems was a fabless semiconductor company focused on mobile television receiver products, and the fastest semiconductor startup to achieve $200M annual revenue in history. Dr. Sheng has also served as Distinguished Engineer at LSI Corporation and at Datapath Systems, Inc.
Dr. Sheng has authored numerous papers and publications on various topics such as low-power CMOS RF wireless systems and low-power CMOS digital design and has been awarded over fifty patents. He holds a BA degree in applied mathematics and BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Bio:
Vygintas Jankus completed his PhD (funded by Kodak) and a Postdoc at Durham University (UK), where he investigated materials for OLED displays.
From 2014 to 2020, he worked at a multinational company (Samsung-SDI / Novaled, Germany) as well as a startup (Cynora, Germany). He contributed to the development of OLED material products as well as their implementation within the production lines of major display manufacturers in South Korea and China.
In 2021, he obtained an Advanced Master’s in Technology Innovation Management at Toulouse Business School and joined CEA-Leti (France) as MicroLED and OLED Partnership Manager. He is focused on gathering all of the relevant players in order for innovative microLED and OLED technology to move towards commercialization in markets such as optical communications, VR/AR, smartwatches and smartphones.

Bio:
Vincent Destefanis joined CEA-Leti in 2023 as a partnership manager in optical sensors. He holds Master's and Engineering degrees in Electronics, Physics and Materials Science. Vincent has been working in the optics and photonics industry since 2010 and previously worked in the CMOS industry for IBM (US) and STMicroelectronics (France).
During his career, Vincent has been successful in creating long-term value in the CMOS and infrared sensing industries thanks to various contributions to French, European and international projects and partnerships.
Vincent is dedicated to developing new partnership opportunities in optical and photonic sensing technologies, especially in the mid-IR domain for emerging applications.

Bio:
CEA-Leti is a leading MEMS R&D lab that supports the industry with the work of more than 150 people, making it the world’s largest MEMS R&D institute.
Pierre-Damien was previously the MinaSmart (European Digital Innovation Hub) director at Minalogic. He also worked as CPS European projects manager, Head of Smart Devices Program, Industrial Partnership Manager and VP Business Development & Communication at CEA-Leti.
With more than 25 years’ experience, 10 years in industry and 15 years in industry-geared R&D, his experience has allowed him to master the perfect balance between business and innovation: understand and listen to needs, identify and select innovative solutions, enhance functions that meet expectations, and finally, communicate to radiate.
Nicolas Lio Soon Shun

Bio:
Nicolas Lio Soon Shun joined CEA in 2015 as a partnership manager for thermal and terahertz imaging.
He is also responsible for the development of HgCdTe avalanche photodiode and infrared space applications. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering. Nicolas worked as a key account sales engineer at Stemmer Imaging, an imaging technology provider.
Nicolas is dedicated to creating long-term partnerships for infrared sensors in particular for optical communication, quantum optics and LIDAR.
