Bio:

Takashi Saida received his B.E. and M.S. and Dr. Eng. degrees from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1993, 1995 and 1998, respectively. He joined NTT in 1998, where he began conducting research on advanced optical waveguide devices for communication. From 2002 to 2003, He was a visiting scholar at the Ginzton laboratory, Stanford University, Stanford, CA. From 2006 to 2008, he served as a director at NTT Electronics (NEL) on leave from NTT laboratories. He is currently Vice President and Head of Device Innovation Center at NTT. His current interests are in advanced photonic and electronic devices that drive innovation in both communication and computing.
