Bio:

Chih Tsung Shih was born in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1975. He received the B.S., and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Hsinchu, R.O.C., in 1998 and 2000, respectively. In 2001, he joined the Industrial Technology research Institute (ITRI) as an associate engineer. His work was on the design and package of optical passive devices for long-haul and metero tele-communication from 2001 to 2006. His research areas included nonlinear optics, optoelectronic integrated circuits, and optical interconnects. In 2010, he received the Ph.D degree in Institute of Photonics Technologies (IPT) from NTHU, and also joined the tsmc (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd) as a principal engineer. His work and research focused on EUV lithography and mask developing from 2010 to 2020. Now he is a technical manager, and focus on the design and measurement of silicon-photonics devices for DATACOM and TELECOM applications.
